There's an art to Staging a Home for selling, and this technique has become highly popular, especially for owners of luxury real estate. You will find increasinly that Home Staging professionals will be called in to prepare a property for sale by savvy homeowners.  

Statistics show that Home Staging can add a lot of money to the asking price for homes on sale. And buyers are prepared to pay a lot more moolah when they see something beautiful before them! 

A while back I noticed the trend towards increased use of Home Staging techniques, and immediately I decided to improve on skills I already had, so that I could offer my clients the best possible Home Staging service. 

Today, I'm often called on to help by other realtors who don't possess my skills. Between you and me, friends have also been known to pretend to be selling just so they can get me to help them arrange their homes! I don't mind though.  

Home staging is a concept that is easy to understand, fun to execute and will always help you sell your home faster and for more money.  

Think about a director in the theatre. Each night before the audience arrives, a good director makes sure the stage is set. The lighting is prepared, the props are in place, the right actors have been hired and the script has been perfected. By the time the audience arrives, the director has carefully transformed a bare stage into a theatrical experience that will send the audience home entertained and fulfilled.  

Home staging works in exactly the same way, except that you and I are the directors. (Well, maybe you are the assistant director. smile)  

Using an objective eye, my passion for staying current on the latest housing fashion trends, and years of selling luxury real estate, I have the expertise to stage your property in a way that will "wow" potential buyers.  

Setting The Stage  

When setting your own home "stage," remember that it doesn't have to be time-consuming or costly.  

To get started, I simply view your home and then make suggestions on how to stage it more effectively, usually using your own furnishings and accessories. However be forewarned that we may move furniture, take some items away, and even add a few accessories guaranteed to highlight key areas.  

The most important thing to remember is that home staging works, and you don't have to figure it out, or do it all yourself. That's my job, my expertise, and my passion. All you have to do is sit back and reap the rewards of this very important and effective investment.
